I have very fond memories of Dan, and his great sense of humor.  On our fifthieth birthday questionnaire he wrote about his education..."I can read writin'". As for work. he observed...".I love work..I can sit and watch it for hours."

I'm sorry it took so long for me to get to this page.

Dan was one of my few good friends at WHHS. He had had a somewhat rough upbringing and always seemed so much "older" than most of the people I was around. I remember most the times we had in a local chapter of the DeMolay organization (associated with the Masons). In fact, my very best friend met his future wife at one of the functions that we were invited to along with Dan.

I had one memorable weekend meetup with him when I was attending college in Michigan and he was at Valparaiso, but after that we lost touch. The last time I saw him was sometime in the late 90s when I was back in Cincinnati clearing out my mother's house in Amberley. I dropped by at his place for a short visit. Since he was one of the people from WHHS that I had thought about often in those "whatever happened to..." moments, it was nice to catch up.

A little after that I believe he moved to North Carolina and I never managed to get down there to see him. It's nice to know that he's remembered on this site and in our memories.
