Margie, I also just read your story about Bill Spreen and I loved it! Thanks for sharing it!

Loved the story Margie! You and Bill Spreen made history and a ground breaking decision on pregnancy while teaching was born.  Thank you both from all the teachers from that day forward.

Thanks for posting Ann both here and on YouTube. Looks like it was a wonderful, memorable event. The vocalist at the dinner - fabulous! Although I wasn't there it's a kick to view online so thanks to those who pulled it all together. Again many thanks for the photos and videos.

Thanks to everyone who could attend our reunion. Laura and I had fun planning it with lots of help from Gail, Sally, Ann, Larry, and others. It was a special weekend for sure.

We had a great time at the reunion, and Sandy and I had a lot of fun planning and executing it with help from others, as Sandy mentioned.  Of course, we missed those who couldn't be with us.  Mike Bresnen, our photographer, took four hours of photos which he will edit within the next few weeks.  These will all be posted on our website.

I was so proud to be a member of the class of '64.  We all really care for each other in so many ways.

Laura, Sandy, Gail, Ann, Sally, Richard:

Thank you all for planning such a great reunion weekend. It was abundantly clear at each event how much effort y'all put into planning the weekend. Rick Steiner would have definitely approved. It was wonderful to see so many classmates and renew old friendships. Walnut Hills High is a beautiful facility; very much updated from the time we were there. Walnut, as apparently it is known now, offers such an array of academic and extra-curricular choices for students. Saturday night's entertainment was quite special, conversation interesting and fun, all enhanced by excellent food and a generous bar. Our alma mater was and still is a most unique public high school. In that connection I was duly impressed by the amount of money raised by the school's endowment fund. Staggering even by Texas standards!

Thanks to all who did so much to make this past weekend such a memorable event.  Thanks to Jon for leading the lively talk around and those who led the evening talk around.  Those two events were yet further examples of how we stimulate each other to participate and “sursum Ad summum“.

I would like to express particular thanks to Pam, Sandy, Gail, Bill, JC, Dave, Larry, Anthony, Dale and Steve.  I had particular chance to connect with these people over the weekend and I have reflected on those conversations ever since.  I never cease to be amazed by the influence that such an experience as we had during our formative years can have on our entire lives.

Thank you all.  I am most grateful for the time we have had together.

Nelson

Bill Waxman, thanks so much for your kind comments.  You ARE a Texan for saying "y'all"!  One of the benefits of being co-chair is the opportunity to talk to, text with, and email with so many classmates, even if they couldn't attend.  We really tried to contact everyone we hadn't heard from.

Sandy and I have been friends for a long time; I would go home with her after school at Kilgour because her parents worked and we had the run of the house.  (We always ate deviled ham sandwiches; I owe her about a dozen cans.)  It was great working together on the reunion and we are both so happy that it was successful....a special shout out to Deb Heldman, who contributed so much, especially arranging for all the talent we heard Saturday night.

i was speaking with a friend last week before the reunion and mentioned that it was coming up.  She went to Summit Country Day and is younger than I am.  She asked what year I graduated from Walnut Hills.  I told her.  She said, "Oh, THAT class!"  I've been hearing about you all for years!"

Enough said.

I wasn't at this reunion but after reading the positive review of the "talk-arounds" I was reminded of the one when I was there some years ago. It was one of the highlights. As always there are different points of view and it's possible that some topics in the air a decade or more ago are still front and center, maybe even more so now. So I wonder if anyone is interested in summarizing the discussions and posting it here.

Mary Benjamin

Thanks to Sandy, Laura, Gail, Ann, Sharon, Sally, Larry, Richard and everyone else who worked so hard to make this a really great and memorable reunion!

Adding my thanks and gratitiude to the comments you've already seen. What I loved about this reunion was that I felt like there was SO much connection with so many of you for me. Never enough time to talk to everyone I wanted to speak with, but the conversations I had and the things I heard shared in the common dialogues, were really meaningful.

I found the whole weekend quite wonderful and moving. The talk-around, led by Jonny, was great and I thought Jonny did handled the job with grace and kindness - he was so comfortable in the role of facilitator that I think it made everyone feel safe to share whatever was on their minds. The "pass-the-mic" Saturday night was also a highlight - and lots of it was funny too!

Thanks everyone and be well! Hope to see you all again at the wished-for next one!

Love,

Mary

Thank you Sandy, Laura, and all the others who made our reunion such a COMPLETE SUCCESS in every way! I will write more after I get caught up, but in the meantime, I think I was the only person at the CCC who did not find a program for the evening under my plate. sad I didn't really get a chance to read it, so if anybody can scan a copy and send it to me I would appreciate it. And all the entertainment was terrific! Thanks in advance! Becky

Thanks to our reunion committee for putting together a fabulous 75+2 reunion!! Kudos to the anonymous classmates for "picking up our tab". Many of you asked me for the YouTube videos of my parents, Victor and Mary, discussing their history. here they are:
