Thanks for posting this - I never got the email.  FYI there's a drop down menu that lets you designate your gift to the class of 1964 Performing Arts Fund.

Happy Holidays to all,

Stephanie

Jeff and Stephanie - Thanks for the info.  After getting myself registered on the site, I got my contribution on record around 40 minutes before the deadline!  Thanks for letting everyone know.

The beer tasting part of the city tour sounds like a great idea.  Given Cincinnati's history I am not surprised that there would be some great beers brewed in Cincinnati.

Today Julie Waxman, Rick Steiner, Mary Benjamin, Stephanie Riger, Ann Pollak, and I were able to weather a dreary California winter day to give much needed love and support to Gail Weintraub Stern.  Five hundred people attended her husband George's memorial service, many of whom spoke so warmly about two wonderful people.  I know that Gail would appreciate whatever support you can give her.

I've had the distinct pleasure of working with Gail (and Rick and Dick and others) on this very website for the last year and a half or so.  Doing so has given me an enhanced insight of Gail's devotion, allegiance, and zest for life.  We can only hope that her zest for life will endure through a very trying time.

It has been a trying year for our class, losing classmates and loved ones too soon and too often.  We remain strong through it all and hopefully will endure those trying times ahead as well.

I look forward to seeing ALL our classmates next summer.

I have gotten to know Gail as part of the Class of 64 Performing Arts Fund ad hoc Committee and the last six years have have made me realize how dedicated she is to our Class.  I have sent her a private note of condolence. I would really like to see all of us recognize Gail for her dedication and the tremendous loss she has just experienced. We love you Gail and await our Class Reunion Birthday in June to be together.

Gene:  I, too, have sent Gail a private message (and Nelson as well), recognizing that we are all, if not yet entering our own end times (we are mortal, after all -- and how quickly life has run!), they are now at least those of our parents, and perhaps our partners and siblings as well.  It is where we are.  What we have -- as I have learned through this Website -- is the love and friendship of all of you out there -- many of whom I was not particularly close to in our WHHS days, but whom I have come to really communicate with and feel close to through this Website.  It has been amazing.  And so I wish you all a Happy Holidays, and I hope to see as many of you as I can at the reunion next year.

I too am so sorry for your loss Gail.  You have been such a devoted and positive force in the website and our WHHS reunion, and from the comments, in all aspects of your life.  May the love and care you have shown for others come back to you now in this time of sadness.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

May I add my condolences as well,Gail. The loss of a life partner is a difficult one. May the support of your friends and your temple help you through this time.

Life is unfair.  All we can do is squeeze the most we can out of every day, surround ourselves with good friends and leave the world a better place than when we arrived.  Very sorry.  I'm sure he was a terrific guy.
