Ed was a noted radio broadcaster in several markets, including Shreveport, La., where he worked at KEEL-AM. He later pursued a career as a minister, with marked success. Died way too young, with much left to fulfill in life.
Aged 45 years. Section 8, Block 339, Lot 9, Grave 13.
I was lucky and heard Ed on the radio while I was in the Navy. My ship was off the coast of SC and recognized the voice of a good friend from WHHS. Super guy.
Today, Ed's widow, Donna Gouedy Baxter, notified me that she and Ed were married on December 21, 1974 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Ed was the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Thomas, Kentucky when he passed away from an atypical case of malignant melanoma on September 4, 1992.
