I sat next to Barb at our last reunion dinner. I hadn't really known her well during our school days. But, that evening, we discovered that we had a lot in common and decided to remain in touch with one another. It was only a short time later that TeeDee contacted me saying that Barb was ill. She died soon after. She was a lovely person, and I was sad that I would never get to know her better. God bless you.
At the tail end of the reunion dinner at Union Terminal, Barbara came up to me and my wife, Gwynne, and with as warm a hand as I ever felt, shook mine softly she was so gracious to us both, more so because we'd never benn close...simply a "hi" in the halls of WHHS. I'll never forget how special and sincere this last greeting felt.
Barbara and Kristin Pierce used to tease me all the time at Walnut. The last time that I saw Barbara was In the early 90s at a Bob Evans restaurant near the Eastgate mall. I recognized her right away, because she looked essentially the same as she did at Walnut.
