My strongest memory of Erik is as my lab partner in Biology. I hated to dissect anything. Erik agreed to do all of the dissecting if I would do the notes which I gladly agree to do. I was very grateful to him. He was a good guy.
Unfortunately, I'm hazy on the details here, but a number of years ago (I can't tell when), my mother brought to my attention Erik's obituary and said, "Didn't you graduate with him?" All I can remember from the obituary is that he was living outside of Ohio and had a male life partner (on reading this, somehow it did not surprise me). He was a quiet, introverted, and as Dexter said, "a nice guy."
