Win and I were best buddies during my first 3 1/2 years at Kilgour Elem.  Most days after school I had to go to Mom's beauty shop in Mt Lookout and listen to women's 'gossip' for two hours.  Win saved me from that a lot by having me over to his house after school.  I missed those visits when I had to transfer to Lincoln, and we never really re-connected though we both landed at Walnut Hills.  I was fortunate to call him a friend.

Win and I were buddies from 5th -9th grade.  We played pick-up baseball and football after school at Kilgour, car pooled to WHHS togethr during junior high, took the Mt. Lookout bus home and hung out at the Blue Dell and Walt's Hobby Shop.  He was a good friend.

Edwin “Win” Kinsley was my next-door neighbor from Kilgour Elementary School days. We were in the same car pool to WHHS from seventh to tenth grade, along with Joe Meek, Billy Walker and Steve Sanger. In the eleventh grade, he went to Western Reserve Academy in Cleveland, from which he graduated in 1964. He returned to Cincinnati and graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1968 with a B.A. in Journalism.

We lost direct touch after that, but I heard bits and pieces through my parents from his parents. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1968, serving as a Journalist. According to court records, he married Nancy Pamela Belew, December 14, 1974 in Hillborough, FL. He continued with the Marines, eventually entering civilian life in Oregon and finally succumbing to lung cancer, February 23, 1994 (age 47).
